The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, December 24, 1946
Miss Jessie M. Hutchins, 81, died Tuesday morning in Detroit.  Funeral 
services will be held from Boynton’s funeral home on Thursday afternoon at 
2:00 o’clock.  Burial will be at the Highland Park cemetery.  Born in Ionia 
December 22, 1865, she attended Ionia schools, and later taught for many years 
in the public schools in Minnesota.  Upon retirement she returned to Ionia, 
where she lived with her sister, Miss Ella Hutchins, for a time before moving 
to Ann Arbor which was her home for many years.
