   Excerpts from Ionia Obituary

      SUZANNE "Sue"JO HUVER

Died July 18, 2025- age 75 of Ionia.
Born December 10, 1949 in Ionia, daughter of Francis George & Doris Marie 
(Rubach) Larson.
Sue graduated from Ionia High School Class of 1967.
She married James E. Huver in Saranac on June 22, 1968.
Sue dedicated over 40 years to the Ionia Meijer, where she managed the deli & 
later the gas station.
As a member of SS.Peter & Paul Catholic Church, she was deeply  involved in 
parish life-helping to organize the annual Fall Fest, preparing meals for 
funeral luncheons, & volunteering a the Lenten Fish Fries.
She supported her husband, Jim by organizing VFW funeral honors & events.Sue 
volunteered with Ionia Sparrow Hospital & the Ionia Free Fair.
Sue had a gft for conversations, connecting with customers & formed lasting 
friendships with co-workers.
Survived by her sons, Andy Huver of Ionia & Tony (Jen) Huver of Hudsonville; her 
grandchildren, Henry & Madelyn Huver. Her sister, Judy (Gary) Volker, & several 
nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Francis & Doris Huver & husband James Huver, 
that preceded her in death just days earlier, on July 9, 2025, after 57 years of 
marriage.
 Sues's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Alysis (Isaac) 
Blough, Faith Hospice, Luminate & Cornerstone Caring & many friends & extended 
family who offered their presence &  support to Sue.
A joint visitation for Jim & Sue on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm 
at lake Funeral Home in Ionia, with Rosary prayed at 6;30 p.m.
A funeral Mass honoring the lives of James E. Huver & Susanne J Huber will be 
celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at SS.Peter & Paul Catholic 
Church in ionia.
Rite of Committal will follow at Balcom Cemetery.
