September 7, 2024 HUYSER Corrine Bea "Cookie" Huyser age 80, of Clarksville passed away September 2, 2024. She was born December 11, 1943 in Ada,Michigan. She was adopted and raised by William and Elizabeth (Schoo)Scheltema. Cookie married the love of her life Abram "Bud" Huyser jr. on February 12, 1965. He preceded her in death April 25, 2016. Surviving are her children, Michelle (Breck) Sines of Reed City, Jodi (Nate) Hardman of Clarksville and Abram (LeeAnn) Huyser III of Florissant, Colorado. Grandchildren, Jake Holford, Harlei (Daniel) Culhane, Josh Holford, Corrine "Corri" Crosby, Brittney (Tim) Moreno, Garret (Madi) Hardman, Ethan Crosby, Andrea Hardman, Brooke (Johnny) Gallegos, Aaliyah Huyser and Hailey Huyser. Great-grandchildren, Connor Culhane, Aurora Culhane, Abel Moreno, Elijah "Bugz" Moreno, Sofia Gallegos and Roman Gallegos. Brother Chet Scheltema of California. Several Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sons, Sisters, Joyce Houck, Helen Vos and Betty Johnson. Brothers, Bill and Hank Scheltema. Cookie was a founding member and Pianist at the Friendship Country Chapel and currently a member at South Boston Church. She was a familiar face at Jimmy's Grill where she would hostess or bake. Cookie was an avid pianist and was a piano teacher. She loved to crochet. Memorial Services will be at South Boston Church on Friday September 13 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Corey Malone and Pastor Robert Roush officiants.Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Thursday September 12 from 4-7 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services at the church.
