Huyser, Jr., age 71 of Clarksville, Michigan, passed away on April 25, 2016. He was born on Jan. 27, 1945 iin Grand Rapids to Abram H. and Rosalyn (Gallop) Huyser. He married Corrine "Cookie" Scheltema of Grand Rapids on Feb. 12, 1965 iin Grand Rapids. He loved the Detroit Tigers baseball, chickens and his grandkids were the love of his life. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Abram is survived by his wife, Cookie Huyser of Clarksville, Michigan; two daughters, Michelle (Breck) Sines of Orleans, Michigan, Jodi (Nate) Hardman of Clarksville, Michigan; son, Abram (Leeann) Huyser III of Colorado; three brothers, Russell (Becky) Huyser of Ada, Michigan, Frank Huyser of Byron Center, Michigan, David (Diane) Huyser of Comstock Park, Michigan; two sisters, Sharon VanOrman of Rockford, Michigan, Janet (Dennis) Burns of Lowell, Michigan; 11 grandchildren, Jacob, Harlei (Daniel), Joshua, Corri, Brooke, Brittney, Garrett, Ethan, Aaliyah, Andrea and Hailey; one great grandson, Connor; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law. He is preceded in death by father, Abram H. Huyser, Sr.; mother, Rosalyn Huyser; granddaughter, Reba; and sister, Heidi (Jackie) Vincent. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at South Boston Bible Church in Lowell with Pastors Bob Roush and Ron Tuinstra officiating. Family will be accepting visitors on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac; Friday at 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.
