Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Wed. April 17, 1991

IONIA- Elsie M. Hyatt, 87, of Ionia, formerly of Fenwick, died April 15, at the 
Ionia Manor.

She was born Aug. 29, 1903. in Calumet, Mich. the daughter of Burt L. and 
Minnie E. Smithem Fenstermacher.

She was the Montcalm County Nurse for 10 years. She was a former member of the 
First Congregational Church in Stanton and was presently a member of the Palo 
United Methodist Church.

Survivors include; three daughters, Dianna Evans of Lakeview, Donna Lance of 
Fenwick, and Judy Patterson of New York; six grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley in  1981, a son, William, five 
brothers and two sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 22 at the Palo United 
Methodist Church, with the Rev. James Cook officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Stanton.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society, in care of the 
Cook Funeral Home.
