December 26, 2020 CHRISTOPHER LEE HYATT Christopher "Chris" Lee Hyatt, age 53, of Lake Odessa, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven surrounded by his family on December 19, 2020 after his second courageous battle with cancer. Chris was born on November 26, 1967 to James Sr. and Ruth (Simmons) Hyatt in Lansing. He grew up making many wonderful memories n the family homestead with big brothers, James Hyatt Jr. and Steve Hyatt, and little sister, Connie Sutherland. They all enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing as well as taking many family vacations to spend time with extended family in Tennessee. Those who knew Chris knew that he never met a stranger; everyone immediately became his best friend. He aways made others feel loved and cared for; the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He was welcomed into Heaven by those who preceded him with open loving arms; Grandparents Charlie and Lillie Hyatt and Leo and Katherine Simmons; and great- nephew Aberin Teachworth. Along with his parents and siblings. Chris is both survived and extremely missed by other close family members; his nieces and nephews Marci (Paul) Teachworth, Katy (Dave) VandeWaa, James (Holly) Hyatt III, Lindsay Hyatt, Halie Wieber, and Mason and Alex Sutherland; and great-nieces and nephews Karli, Lilli, Emma, Alli, Braelyn, Gabbi, Gannon, Grayson, and Hadley. He will also be missed by special friend Judy Taylor and her family and many, many more friends and family members around the country. The funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at Sebewa Church of God in lake Odessa, Michigan.
