Lake Odessa Wave - February 14, 1929
           ANOTHER MOTHER LAID AWAY TO REST

                                   -----------

   The mother of Mr. Ed Hyatt, who has lived in or near Lake Odessa for sixteen
years, passed away Saturday.

   The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the home of her son, southwest of town.

   Rev. O. F. Bulman preached and Mrs. R. W. Goodemoot and Mrs. William Tietz san. 
Interment was at 
Lakeside cemetery

                             OBITURAY

   Alzina Louisa Ackerman was born at South Milford, Lagrange county, Indiana on
August 2, 1847, being the 
daughter of David and Mary Ackerman.  She lived in Indiana until she was eight years
old, when with her 
parents she moved to the city of Albion, Michigan.  The family lived there until she
was fifteen years old when 
they moved to Tekonsha, Calhoun county.

   She was married to Lewis Hyatt in 1869.  The early years of their married life
were spent near Tekonsha, 
where their only son, James Edward, was born.

   The family moved to Lakeview 1890 where they lived until 1912 then they moved to
Lake Odessa where they 
have since lived.

   For the past three years she had made her home with her son Edward, where since
the death of her 
husband, in 1926, she has been tenderly cared for.

  Mrs. Hyatt became a Christian in early life and has been a devoted member of the
Methodist Episcopal 
church  She met the obligations of life in a fine spirit and wass greatly loved and
respected by all who knew 
her.

   She is survived by her son and wife, two grandchildren and one great grandson and
one sister, Mrs. 
Emigene Vincent of Barryton.
