Hyde, 88, of 1310 Jordan Lake avenue, who died Thursday morning in Pennock hospital, Hastings. He had been a patient nine days. Mr. Hyde was born in Sunfield January 11, 1878, son of Oren E. and Ann Moore Hyde. He was a butcher by trade and had lived in Battle Creek prior to the death of his wife, Lillian in 1940 when he went to live with his daughter, Geraldine Strunk at Royal Oak. Since her death, Mr. Hyde had lived with his brother, Ben Barnum in Lake Odessa. Surviving besides his brother, are a grandson, Raoul Randolph of Royal Oak; three great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Rev. Paul Bennehoff will officiate at the funeral service and burial will be at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill cemetery in Battle Creek under the auspices of the Masonic lodge.
