In failing health for several years, Mr. Hyde had been seriously ill only since Sunday. He was born in New Haven Center, Gratiot county and lived there his entire life until eight years ago when he took over the Smyrna flour and Grist mill and operated it until it was destroyed by fire three years ago. Then he retired from active business and came to this city to live. Left to mourn are his widow and four sons: Keith of Burnips, Kenneth of Detroit, Merle of rural St. Johns and Wayne of Alma. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Fales-Huffman Funeral Home and services will be held on Saturday at the New Haven Center church with burial in the cemetery there.
