Lillian E. Hyland, 86, of Ionia passed away on Wednesday, January 12.  She was 
born on September 10, 1918 in Ionia, the daughter of Joseph Earle and Edith 
(Carlson) Martin.

Mrs. Hyland worked at the General Tire Corporation for 30 years.  Lillian was 
an active member of the First Christian Church of Ionia, and she enjoyed 
watching sports, camping, needlework and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles D. Hyland; brothers, 
Raymond and Larry Martin; sister, Dorothy Ralston.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald (Candice) Hyland of Portland and Donald Hyland 
of Ionia.  According to Lillian’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

There will be no services.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman 
Funeral Home, Ionia.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the 
First Christian Church of Ionia.
