The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, October 7, 1929

Robert, the four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Eaton Hyland, of Portland, died 
very suddenly Friday afternoon and the funeral services were held there 
Sunday.  The child was the great grandson of Frank Conner, of Muir, and his 
mother was formerly Miss Reva Conner, of Muir.  Sunday was the eighty-fourth 
birthday of Frank Conner and a family party had been planned for the day but 
was cancelled when this child died.  Robert had not been will for several days 
and was carrying a slight temperature but his condition was not regarded 
serious by physicians.  His mother was alone with him when he died.
