Agnes Jean Hyland, 79, of Portland passed away Dec. 9, 2003.

She was born in Ohio Oct. 12, 1924 the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Sefcik) 
Tchaikovsky. Mrs. Hyland loved her family dearly and especially loved caring 
for her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hyland; second husband, 
Richard Bowerman; son, Joseph S. Hyland; sisters, Peg, Ann, and Mary.

surviving are her children, James. R. *(Penny) Hylad of Portland; Jack E.
(special friend, Bonnie) of Mecosta, Jon "Michael (Janet) Hyland of Portland, 
Toni R. (Thomas) Kissane of Portland, and Tobi L. (Robert) Barton; 16 
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many brothers and sisters; nieces and 
nephews. 

Services were conducted by the Rev. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor of the First 
Congregational Church of Portland Dec. 12 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 
Portland with interment at Portland Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at
