Wave, Thurs. Aug. 11, 1949 Woodland Deputy, Henry Hynes, Dies Deputy Sheriff Last 14 Years, Sexton 30 Years Henry Hynes, 67, a deputy sheriff the last 14 years and sexton of the Woodland Memorial park 30 years, died Tuesday at his home following a stroke suffered Sunday. He had served several terms as a village councilman and was a former township highway commissioner. Survivors include his wife, Blanche, two sons, Dale of Lake Odessa and John of Woodland; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Walker of Mt. Clemens, Mrs. Audrey Schulte of Detroit and Mrs. Evelyn Hudecek of Owosso; four brothers, Wilbur, Roscoe and Frank of Woodland and Levi of Grand Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Mary France and Mrs. Martha Smith of Woodland and Mrs. Daisy Guy of Lake Odessa, and four grandchildren. Services were held at 2 Thursday (today) at Wing & Pickens funeral home. Burial was in Woodland Memorial park.
