Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Apr 1958

Alfred K. Illing, 59, Ann Arbor, formerly of Ionia, died Monday evening in St.
Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, the victim of a heart ailment.

Born in Steinpleis, Germany, Mr. Illing came to this country in 1926 and lived
in Ionia.  In 1943 he married Evelyn Johnson of Belding and they made their home
in Ann Arbor.  He was a member of the Congregational church there.

Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Barbara Jean, at home; one sister,
Frieda, and two brothers, Otto and Rudy, all of Germany, and one cousin, Mrs.
William Walthers of New Orleans, La.

Funeral service will be held in Ann Arbor with graveside service at River Ridge
cemetery, Belding, Thursday at 2 p.m.
