Rev. Charles Fullmer will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery. Dr. Imus died at Cheboygan Community Memorial Hospital Sunday afternoon following an extended illness. He was born May 29, 1875 in Galesburg the son of James and Jane Qua Imus. He graduated from University of Michigan school of medicine in Ann Arbor in 1902. He practiced medicine in Holland, Lansing, Fulton and Owosso before leaving private practice to come to Ionia State hospital in 1923. He remained there until his retirement at 75. He later was a civilian doctor for the army at Camp Stoneman several years. Mrs. Imus, the former Reatha Boerem, preceded him in death September 28, 1962. A son, Dr. Henry Imus, also preceded him in death. Dr. Imus was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and was active in Masonic activities many years. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lewis Hodges of Ann Arbor, Mrs. George Clark of Northville, Mrs. John Wright of Wayne, Mrs. William Lyon of Cheboygan; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Genevieve Imus of Galesburg. Masonic services will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Leddick funeral home.
