The Ionia Standard, Friday, September 25, 1885
Carrie Ingall, last Saturday, while in the field with her father, firing 
stumps, her skirts caught fire and before her father could extinguish the 
flames she was so badly burned that she died in terrible agony Sunday 
morning.  She was a girl about 10 years old, and badly crippled with weak 
ankles.
