It is thought ill health was the cause of the rash act. Several years ago the family moved from Danby to a farm near Wacousta where he fired the gun that ended his life. In a note left for his wife he stated he could no longer endure the terrible headaches he was having. It also gave directions for his burial and instructions in regard to his business affairs. “Pat” was the son of the late Charles Ingalls, a Danby pioneer, and had spent practically all his lifetime there until he moved to a farm near Wacousta. Besides the widow he is survived by two sons 11 and 14 years of age. Mrs. Harry Kelly, of Danby, and Mrs. Guy Stiffler, of Muskegon, are sisters. The mother, Mrs. Phila Ingalls, resides in Portland. Funeral services were held at Wacousta Sunday afternoon and burial made in Danby cemetery.
