Ingersoll, age 60 years, died of a heart attack Monday night while performing his duties at the Lowell municipal light and power plan south of Smyrna. Although he had not been well, he remained on duty because of high water caused by recent rains. His wife was with him when he was stricken. He was born at Lake City September 19, 1887, and came to the power plant in 1929. He was married to Rose Hosner at Lapeer and besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Austin of Lowell, Ray of Muskegon and Gene at home; one grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Bowerman of East Jordan, Mrs. Ralph Arnold of Lake City and Mrs. Dora Erwin of Eureka, Montana; also two brothers, Homer of Lansing and Leo of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Thursday, at the Ellis Funeral Home, Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating, and burial will be in Saranac cemetery. Pallbearers are Russell McArthur, Harold Hosner, Dwight Arnold, Robert Ingersoll, Burke Ingersoll and Destin Steward.
