Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Mar 1979

Edwin O. Ingvartsen, 56, of 2022 Kellogg Road, Rural Route 2, Ionia, died
Thursday morning at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  He was born Dec. 17,
1922 in Sidney, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ingvartsen.  Ingvartsen was
married March 19, 1946 in Indiana to Violanda Gonnella and they lived most of
their married life in the Ionia area.

He was employed by General Tire and their predecessor for 30 years and a veteran
of WWII serving with the Navy Medical Corps attached to the Marine Corp.  He was
a member of the V.F.W. of Ionia, Ducks Unlimited, and Mid-State Bass Busters.

Survivors include his wife, Violanda, three daughters, Mrs. Loren (Bonnie)
Lewis, Mrs. Jeoffrey (Joy) Boyes and Miss Judy Ingvartsen, all of Ionia; three
sons, Larry, Eddie and Walter, of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Victoria Blumberg of
Ionia and Mrs. Gladys Hoppough of Orleans and three grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday at Myers-Roetman Funeral Home at 1;30 p.m. with the
Rev. Lloyd Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery.  A memorial
fund has been established for the cardiac care unit of the Ionia County Memorial
Hospital and can be left at the funeral home.  The family will be at the funeral
home today, tomorrow and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. to meet friends
and relatives.
