Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, March 10, 1988

BELDING- Violanda (Nan) Ingvartsen, 62, of Belding, formerly a resident of 
Ionia, died Tuesday at her daughter's home after a lengthy illness.

She was born Sept. 13, 1925, in Ionia, the daughter of Peter and Ellen 
(Kilgren) Gonnella.

She attended Ionia schools, and she was employed as a cook at the Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital and also at Nelson's Orchard.

She married Edwin O. Ingvartsen on March 19, 1946. He preceded her in death on  
March 29, 1979.

Surviving are three sons, Lawrence, Eddie and Walter, all of Ionia; three 
daughters, Mrs. Loren (Bonnie) Lewis of Muskegon, Mrs. Geoff (Joy) Boyes of 
Ionia, and Mrs. Scott (Judy) Brune of Belding; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Ray, in 1951 and her brother, 
Alfred Gonnella Sr.

Memorial services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of 
Montgomery-Cook Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.

Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery. 

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Area Hospice.

Memorial services for Violanda (Nan) Ingvartsen were held Friday from the Main 
Street Chapel of Montgomery-Cook Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger 
officiating. 

The organist was Beverly Harger. 

Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery.

A luncheon was served to family and friends at Shiloh Community Church.
