Inman, 79, a former mail clerk at the Michigan state reformatory for 40 years, died at his home on Wall street, Easton township, Sunday evening, July 2, at 8:15 o’clock, following an illness of several months. He was born in New York city November 15, 1859 and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William A. Inman, early pioneers of Easton and prominent Ionians. January 25, 1899, he was married to Miss Ione S. Smith of Ionia by Rev. G. K. Berry, former Church of Christ pastor in Ionia. Mrs. Inman is the only close survivor. The body will remain at the Stone funeral parlors on East Washington street until Wednesday, July 5, when it will be taken to the home where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. C. A Brady, pastor of the Ionia Church of Christ, of which Mr. Inman was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery.
