A. Inman died this morning, at her home just west of the city. Her age was 69, and she has been a resident since 1854. Mr. Inman first located in the village of Ionia and carried on the cooper business, but in 1869 he bought the farm, a part of which was included in the purchase of the State House of Correction site, and turned his attention to agricultural matters. Mrs. Inman was a woman of most admirable traits of character, and was highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends. She leaves no children, except an adopted son, John; and she had no near relatives in this vicinity. A sister, Mrs. Edward Reed, Albany New York, has been here several weeks. The funeral will be at the Church of Christ, at 2 p.m. Monday. Subsequent Publication: Monday, April 16, 1894 The funeral of Mrs. W. A. Inman at the Church of Christ this afternoon was largely attended, the church being crowded. The sermon was by Rev. W. H. Scott, who spoke very feelingly of the excellent traits of deceased. All that he said was justified by a life of singular blamelessness and a character that commanded the universal confidence and esteem of a very wide circle of friends. The bearers were C. A. Preston, G. W. Clark, Clark Hawley and George Taylor. Interment was in the family lot in Oakhill.
