Inman, aged 93, died Sunday evening at the home on Wall street, at six o’clock, after a long illness. Mr. Inman was born in Saratoga, New York, April 2, 1826, and came to Michigan about the year 1850. H engaged in coopering in Ionia for several years, then engaging in farming; retiring from active labor about 15 years ago when his wife died. He has lived at the home in Easton near the prison about 50 years and sold the land to the state upon which the reformatory stands. Mr. Inman was always active in politics as a staunch republican and active in the general welfare of Ionia Agricultural association during the years it was maintained at the fair grounds. Mr. Inman was one of the charter member of the Church of Christ, a good citizen who has always been a credit to the community and whose death removes one of the early pioneers. He leaves one son, John, a brother, James E., of Carson City, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah M. Clark, of New York state. The funeral will be attended at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon from the home, and the burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
