Cathy Jo Insley, 57, of Smyrna passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 16, 2010, at 
home under the loving care of her family and hospice.

Cathy Jo was born March 25, 1952, in Greenville, the daughter of Don and Sally 
(Harkness) O’Neill. Cathy was a member of the Smyrna Social Club and the Smyrna 
Friendship Club. She enjoyed shopping, tanning, the many family vacations to 
Florida and her 14 years as a Para-pro at Belding Middle School. During the 
summers Cathy also worked at the Double R Ranch.

Her greatest love was spending time with family and her nine wonderful 
grandchildren. Cathy will always be remembered as a loving sister, wife, 
mother, grandmother and friend. 

She was married Nov. 6, 1970, in Belding to Jeff Insley and he survives along 
with three daughters, Marci and Jason Cooper of Smyrna, Krista and Chad Rich of 
Belding, Molly Insley and fiancé Joe Tarkowski of Belding; two sons, Stephen 
and Angie Insley of Belding and Todd and Andrea Insley of St. Ignace; nine 
grandchildren, Donovan, Tyler, Lane, Brendan, Gracie, Emma, Logan, Jordan and 
Owen; one brother, Tim and Karen O’Neill of Belding; her niece and nephew, 
Mitch and Amy; many neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, Belding with 
Pastor Darwyn Hassert officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. 
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Feuerstein 
Funeral Home, Belding. Memorials may be given to the Alvah N. Belding Library 
of the Belding Middle School Library. Those wishing may sign the online
