The Ionia Daily Standard, Tuesday, January 24, 1899


Mrs. Lenora Irish died at 1:20 this afternoon, at the home she has so long 
occupied on East Main street.  She had been seriously sick but a few days, but 
the feebleness incident to her age made recovery impossible.  She was in the 
87th year of her age.  Her long life in Ionia and always close association 
with church and society life precludes a hurriedly written obituary notice 
that would be just.  Date of funeral not yet determined.
