The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, December 23, 1932

Funeral services for Dr. J. M. Irving, who died Monday in Cincinnati, O., 
following a heart attack, were held at the Bradley funeral home Thursday 
afternoon with Elder Abbott, of Lansing, officiating.  The interment was in 
the family lot in Lyons cemetery.

Dr. Irving practiced medicine in Lyons and Ionia several years.  A large 
number of his friends attended the services.  Bearers were Andrew Irving, a 
brother, George Irving, John Irving, Jr., Andrew Irving, Jr., Archie and 
Mathew Carr, nephews.
