The Muir Tribune, Friday, December 1, 1893
Mrs. Carrie Isham, widow of the late Giles Isham who died many years ago, and 
who was one of the pioneers of Lyons and Ionia county, died Monday, Nov. 27, 
aged 88 years.  Funeral services were held Wednesday at the family residence, 
and her remains were placed beside those of her husband, in the Lyons 
cemetery.  How true—death is the common lot of all.  It is one of the 
inevitable laws of human life.
