The Rev. H. E. Church, of Belding, former pastor of the Church of Christ where Mrs. Itzenhauser attended, officiated. Interment was in West Pine cemetery. She was born Alice Whipple in Orleans June 24, 1868, the only daughter of Horace and Harriet Whipple. Her father lost an arm in an accident at the Higbee cider mill early in 1883. Her mother owned and operated a millinery store in Orleans for many years. Mrs. Itzenhauser’s husband died in April 1946. Soon after his death Mrs. Itzenhauser suffered a stroke and was taken to the home of her granddaughter in Howard City to be taken care of. She suffered a second stroke two days before her death. Surviving her are the granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; and a great- grandson. Harry Whipple and Dwight Whipple of Ionia are nephews. Preceding her in death were four brothers, Will, David, Fred and Burt; her husband; their only daughter who died several years ago. The granddaughter was reared by her grandparents following her mother’s death, until her marriage to Ralf Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Whipple, Mrs. Fred Whipple and Mrs. George Thayer, of Ionia, attended the services.
