Ionia Standard, 11 Sep 1914

Miss Madeline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ives, died in Detroit on Saturday 
afternoon, at age of 22 years after an illness of six months.  Deceased was 
born in Ionia, in the home built by Mr. Ives on East Lafayette street hill, and 
her demise will be mourned by her many Ionia young friends, with whom she was a 
congenial favorite.  Mr. Ives will be remembered by  many still living in 
Ionia, as a Pere Marquette engineer.  The home of the family has been in 
Detroit the thirteen years last past.  Mr. Ives was in Ionia on Monday, to make 
the burial arrangements, which was in Highland Park on Wednesday, upon the 
arrival of the train at 1:05 p.m.
