The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, March 9, 1954

Mrs. Elizabeth S. Jack, 84, of 653 East Main street, died Tuesday morning at 
6:30 at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital where she was taken Monday evening 
following a heart attack.  She was born April 27, 1869, in Ionia, daughter of 
John and Hannah Terry.  She attended Ionia schools and on June 27, 1886, she 
was married to Charles Jack, Ionia business man.

She had been a member of the  First Christian church since 1886, and a member 
of Mrs. Preston’s Sunday school class.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Mathis of Cuba, Mo., and Mrs. Leon 
McQuillan of Ionia; five grandchildren; three grandchildren.  A son, Charles 
Jr., died in 1947.

Mrs. Jack reposes at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home where she will be until 
Thursday noon, when she will be removed to the First Christian church where 
services will be conducted at 2:30 by the Rev. Court O. Adams.  Entombment 
will be in Highland Park mausoleum.
