Jon M. Jackola, 34, of Belding died Monday, January 14, 2008 at Henry Ford 
Hospital in Detroit.  Jon was born June 27, 1973 in White Pine, Michigan  the 
son of John L. and Janet M. Hammond Jackola.  

Jon proudly served in the US Army from 1993-1995.  He was a corrections 
officer with the State of Michigan working in Ionia.  

Jon was married on April 14, 2007 at Shiloh Church to Denise Howe and she 
survives along with their daughter, Katherine "Katie" Janet Jackola, his 
father, John and Ruth Jackola of Three Rivers, one sister Jill K. and Quincy 
Jackson of San Antonio, TX,  his grandmother, Margaret Hammond of Ionia.  Jon 
was preceded by his mother, Janet in 2000.
  
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Shiloh Community Church with 
Pastor Ken Harger officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodard Lake 
Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8pm at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be made to an 
Educational Fund being established for Jon’s daughter Katie at the Belding 
branch of Chemical Bank, envelopes will also be a available at the funeral 
home and church.
