Jackson, 85, 884 Thompson road, route 1, died Saturday at Pennock hospital in Hastings after an extended illness. She was born July 14, 1891 in Helca, South Dakota, the daughter of L. Jasper and Ellen Meyers Morrow. She came to a farm in the Lake Odessa area in 1906 and graduated from Lake Odessa high school in 1910. She married Roy Jackson September 28, 1911 in Ionia. They resided on a farm in Odessa township until moving to Lake Odessa in 1935. Mr. Jackson preceded her in death January 7, 1970. Mrs. Jackson was employed by the Lake Odessa Canning company 1930 to 1946, was a member of Central United Methodist church, the United Methodist Women and Pennock hospital guild number 41 for 26 years. She was a former member of the Merry Social club. Survivors include two sons, Tom of Lewiston, Idaho; and Burr of Lake Odessa; two daughters Mrs. Audrey Scott of rural Lake Odessa and Mrs. Ardis Pike of Plainwell; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Morrow of Kalamazoo, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services are Monday afternoon from the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel with Rev. William Hertel officiating. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery. A memorial fund is established for the Central United Methodist church in Lake Odessa.
