The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, April 23, 1940

Sidney Jackson, former Ionian, died in Pasadena, California, recently, 
according to word received by Mrs. J. Fred Townsend this week.  

Mr. Jackson was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson who lived on 
Lincoln avenue near the Ionia high school.  He was a graduate of the Ionia 
high school and the University of Michigan and for a number of years was a 
minister.  He had been ill for a number of years.

His brother was the late Roscoe B. Jackson, who until his death in France a 
number of years ago was president of the Hudson Motor company in Detroit.  He 
is survived by his wife and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Jackson Wells, also of 
California.

His body will be brought to Ionia for burial in Highland Park cemetery in May.
