Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Dec 1977

Ionia – Bessie C. Jackson, 94, of Ionia, died Saturday afternoon at the Ionia
Manor following a long illness.  She was born in Elyria, Ohio, February 14,
1883, the daughter of Milo and Fredrieka Ross.  She married Harvey Jackson in
1905.  He preceded her in death in 19?0.

She lived all her life in Ionia and was a charter member of Lincoln Avenue
Baptist church.

Survivors include two sons, Donald of Flint and Phillip of Ludington; six
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman funeral home with Rev.
Jack Cook of Lincoln Avenue Baptist church officiating.  Burial is in Highland
Park cemetery.
