The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, June 19, 1954


George E. Jackson, 85, died Friday, June 18, in Duluth, Minn.  He was born 
September 24, 1868 in North Plains township, the son of James and Caroline 
Jackson.  He lived in Ionia for many years before moving to Duluth several 
years ago.

His wife preceded him in death in 1904.  Surviving are one son, Charles 
Jackson, and one daughter, Mrs. Carl F. Carlson, both of Rockford, Ill.

The body will arrive in Ionia Sunday and funeral services will be conducted 
Monday morning at 11 o’clock at the Boynton funeral home with the Rev. Heath 
Goodwin officiating.  Burial will be in the family lot at Highland Park 
cemetery.
