Daily Standard - Tuesday, March 29, 1904

Mrs. George E. Jackson died on Thursday, March 24, of Tuberculosis, in hospital 
at Ann Arbor, where she went for treatment in November. She and her husband 
have been residents of Dakota for six or seven years, returning here last fall. 
Her maiden name was Elvira Eliza Smith; she was 26 years old and leaves no 
children. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and also of Degree of 
Honor. The remains arrived at South Ionia at 11 o'clock last night, coming by 
team from Pewamo. Funeral at Church of Christ at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
