Oct. 12, 1972 Lizzie A. Jackson Dies at Pennock Mrs. Lizzie Ann Jackson, 83, passed away early Monday morning at Pennock Hospital where she had been hospitalized for a month. She was born July 8, 1889, in Campbell township near Clarksville, the daughter of Jonah and Catherine (Stahl) Kauffman. She married Augustus W. Jackson of Clarksville in 1907 and he passed away in December of 1942. She was a lifelong resident of the area and moved to Lake Odessa in 1935 from the farm. Surviving are two sons, Homer and Carl of Lake Odessa; six daughters, Mrs.Kenneth (Rita) Archer of Clarksville, Mrs. Willard (Grace) Kenyon of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Casey (Janet) Hozer of Saginaw, Mrs. Howard (Esta) DeGood of Otsego, Mrs. Roy (Marie) Crawford of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Mrs. Earl (Adeline) Starks of Ionia; 42 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two sisters Mrs. Pearl Jackson of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Fannie Seger of Freeport. Two sons and four daughters preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at Pickens Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa. Rev. Charles Dunbar officiated with burial in Clarksville cemetery.
