Sept. 21, 2016 EVELYN FRANCES JACKSON Evelyn Frances Jackson passed away September 18, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born June 10, 1924 in Dutton, Michigan, the daughter of William and Jessie (Walter) McCrodan. Evelyn was a graduate of Saranac High School, Class of 1942. She married Clifford L. Jackson, Sr. on November 7, 1942 in Saranac. He preceded her in death in 2012 as well as great-Grandson, Dylan Griffin. Evelyn worked many years as head cook for Saranac Community schools, She loved children and they loved her smiling face and kindness. Her family was everything to her and she loved spending time with all of her children and grandchildren and taking trips to the cabin in the U.P. Evelyn is survived by her children, Cliffore (Shirley) Jackson, Barry (Chris) Jackson and Brenda (Rob) Griffin all of Saranac; Grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa) Jackson of Saranac, Penni (Todd) Homan of Alto, Kari (Rick) Dawson of Saranac, Greg (Becky) Griffin of Saranac, Amy (Corey) Broersma of Holland, Kirk (Valerie) Jackson of Saranac and Stuart (Shuri) Griffin of Saranac; Great-Grandchildren, Ada, Kaitlin, Zachary, Jacob, Kailee, MacKenzie, Brady, Kelsey, Camryn, Mitchell, Emma, Grace, Lauren, Austin, Ben, Brayden, Mya, Logan, Kyle, Caylee, Molly and special cousin and friend Marjorie (Hillis) Stuart. Funeral Services will be held at the Saranac Community church on Thursday, September 22, 2016,, 11:00 Am with Pastor Jeff Kahl officiating. Interment Saranac cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 407 PM at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia Area hospice.
