Lake Odessa Wave - January 8, 1970
          SERVICS SATURDAY FOR ROY JACKSON
   Roy Jackson , 78, passed away at Pennock Hospital Wednesday morning after a long
illness.  He was born in 
Lake Odessa Nov, 28, 1891 , son of Erastus and Elizabeth (Worden) Jackson, and a
lifelong resident of the 
area.
   He married Ethel Morrow 58 years age, Sept. 11, 1911.
   Mr. Jackson was employed by the Lake Odessa Canning Co. for many years, retiring
six years ago because 
of his health.
   A member of the Centra United Methodist Church, he had served in many offices of
the church.
   Surviving are hs wife; two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Scott of Lake Odessa and Mrs.
Merritt (Ardis) Pike of 
Plainwell; two sons, Burr of Lake Odessa and Tom of Lewiston, Idaho; seven
grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
   He will repose at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be held
Saturday at 1:30.  Rev. 
Marvin Zimmerman will officiate with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
