Jackson, 66, a lifelong farmer in Sunfield Township, died June 29 enroute to the hospital. He was born in Roxand Township on Feb. 7, 1920, the second son of Charlie M. and Bessie M. (Hager) Jackson. Mr. Jackson graduated from Dow Country School and Sunfield High School. He was active in the Eaton County 4-H Clubs as a member for 10 years and then was a leader of the Dow Community 4-H Club for 18 years. On Oct. 9, 1941, Jackson and Betty C. Miller were united in marriage. They had two sons and one daughter. He is survived by his wife, Betty, Larry L. and Valerie K. Jackson of Ames, Iowa, Linda L. and Gary D. Kimmel of rural Lake Odessa, Anthony L. Jackson and Betty Jo Lake of Lake Odessa, five grandchildren; Gregory, Scott and Micah Jackson, Kimberly and Jason Kimmel, one brother, Lynn Jackson of Grand Coulee, Wa., one sister, Lois Deland of Sunfield, nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother, Russell, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held July 2 at the Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home in Sunfield. The eulogy and prayers were given by Kenneth Fisher and Dana Traub. Burial was in Sunfield Cemetery. Pall bearers were Ed. Markwart, Don Way, Mike Wonsor, Harold Jackson, James Deland and Marchall Wondergem. Honorary bearers were Lee Wonsor, Jon Way, Philip Baker, Pearl Baker, Durwood Dow, Theo Lenon and Sherm Pranger.
