The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 23, 1937


Claude Jackson, Orleans township, died Friday afternoon, December 17, after an 
illness of more than a year.  Deceased, who was 67 years old, was born in 
Orleans, November 23, 1879, the son of Hiram and Margaret Jackson.  He had 
been a lifetime resident of Orleans township.

Surviving relatives are three sons, Elgin of Detroit, Arthur and Henry of 
Orleans, and a brother, Fred Jackson, of Ionia.  Mrs. Jackson died several 
years ago. 

Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiated at the funeral service which was held from 
Stebbins Funeral Home, Ionia, Monday afternoon.  Burial in Orleans cemetery.
