Mr. Jackson had a load of grain ready to take to market and had gone to the house to make some changes preparatory to going to town. The team and load were left in the care of older children who did not know of the little girl’s presence. She had climbed upon the wheel when the horses started, and throwing her off the wheel ran over and crushed her head on the back side, causing death after only a breath or two. Undertaker Weed was called and put the little one in a presentable condition and the funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon. Many relatives and friends of the family were present and the little form was laid to rest in Clarksville cemetery.
