Ionia Sentinel Standard - Aug. 29, 1988


Earl E. Jacobs, 58, of 5298 Bluewater Highway, Saranac, died Saturday at Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Ionia Aug. 8, 1930, the son of William and Mary Halstead Jacobs 
and had lived in the Saranac area for the past 25 years.

He was married to Doris Booth in Grand Rapids on May 18, 1963. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are our sons, Steven Jacobs of Sheridan, 
Michael Jacobs of Belding and Tom and Jeff Jacobs at home; three daughters, 
Mrs. Robert (Deborah) Helms of Ionia, Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) Swartz of Greenville 
and Brenda at home; and nine grandchildren.

Also surviving are five brothers, Everett Jacob s of Kalamazoo, Bruce Jacobs of 
Fenwick, Milton Jacobs of Lansing, Leonard Jacobs of Alabama, and Frank Jacobs 
of Greenville; and two sisters, Mrs. Wesley (Emma) Fuller of Kalamazoo and Lois 
Jacobs of Traverse City. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, 
the Rev. Barker officiating. 

Burial will be in Tuttle Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 
p.m.
