Bruce F. Jacobs, 77, of Stanton passed away Tuesday evening August 26, 2014 at 
Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.  Bruce was born on November 
4, 1936 in Ionia, the son of William and Mary (Halsted) Jacobs. 

In 1990 Bruce retired from Fisher Body in Lansing.  He was a past member of the 
United Auto Workers and a member of the Greenville Church of the Nazarene.  
Bruce enjoyed sports, especially the Michigan State Spartans, the Detroit Lions 
and Tigers, camping gardening and hunting.  He will be greatly missed by his 
family and friends. 

Bruce was preceded by his wife Janet Marie “Jenny “Jacobs on January 26, 2014; 
his parents; four brothers; Frank, Earl, Everett, Leonard; one sister Lois; and 
three grandchildren; Tabitha Davis, Morgan Sage and Erik Clark.  Bruce is loved 
and survived by his children; Dan and Jennifer Clark of Crystal, Cheryl Jacobs 
of Stanton, James and Debra Clark of Toulon, IL., Scott Clark of Corunna, 
Angela and Scott Wellman of Flint, Deborah Sage of Belding, Janet and Alan 
Olson, Roberta Davis all of Greenville, 19 grandchildren 14 great 
grandchildren, a brother and sister; Milton and Teri Jacobs of Lansing, Emma 
and Wesley Fuller of Paw Paw; many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Greenville Church of the 
Nazarene with Pastor Tim Deshaw officiating.  Committal prayers will be private 
in Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia.  Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 pm at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Memorials may be given to the Greenville 
Church of the Nazarene.
