Jacobs, 73, of 217 South Jackson street died Sunday evening at Veterans Administration hospital in Ann Arbor where he had been a patient since January 31. He was born in 1888 at Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Ansel and Sarah Jacobs. He was married in Indiana in 1927 to Mary Halsted and they spent their entire married life in Ionia County. Mr. Jacobs was a farmer and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Ward of Ionia, and Mrs. Wesley Fuller of Grand Rapids; six sons, Frank W., Bruce, Leonard and Milton of Ionia, Evert of United States Air Force, and Earl of Belding; five grandchildren. The body will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Subsequent Publication – Thursday, February 15, 1962 Funeral service for William H. Jacobs, 73, of 217 South Jackson street who died Sunday evening at Veterans Administration hospital in Ann Arbor, was held Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. Ray R. Fassett, pastor of Evangelical United Brethren church officiated and temporary entombment was at Highland Park cemetery. Attending from out of town were Mrs. Floyd Jones of Belding, and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Fuller of Grand Rapids.
