Ionia Daily  Sentinel - 8 April 1935
Funeral services were held from the Miriam Catholic church Saturday morning for 
Joseph Jacoby, life-long Keene township resident, who  died Wednesday noon during 
a major operation submitted to at the Greenville hospital.  Interment was at the 
Miriam cemetery.

He was born in Keene township in 1866, only a short distance from the farm he had 
owned for many years.  Surviving are his wife, six children, Misses Esther, 
Pauline and Sister Mary James, all of Detroit; Miss Elma, of Chicago and Florence 
and Valentine at home and two sisters, Mrs. A. R. Cook and Miss Mary Jacoby of 
Detroit.
