Wilson, received word Wednesday of the death of Miss Kate Jacoby. Her remains will arrive here tonight and the funeral will be held in the church at Miriam Saturday morning. Miss Jacoby had many friends in this vicinity, she with Mrs. Minnie VanPelt carried on dressmaking here several years ago. ------------ Obituary. Miss Katherine Jacoby whose remains were brought here from Detroit last Thursday, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Schafer, in Detroit, Tuesday, March 7, and the funeral was held in the church at Miriam near her old home Saturday morning which was largely attended. The deceased had been in poor health with lung trouble in nearly three years. Two years ago she spent the winter in Florida and Knoxville, Tenn., and a year later left for Los Vegas, N.M., and afterward tried the climate in different parts of Colorado, finally trying Nevada, Mo. She returned to Detroit with her sister, Susie, who remained with her till the end came. She was born in Miriam, March 1, 1860, and a host of friends mourn her loss.
