Ionia Daily Sentinel – Saturday, 20 June 1914
Herman F. Jahnke died at eight last night at his home, 343 Fargo Street of 
pneumonia.  Mr. Jahnke was 57 years old.  The funeral will be attended from 
the residence at 1:30 and from the German Lutheran church at two, on Monday 
afternoon.  Interment in Highland Park cemetery.  Rev. B. H. Succop 
officiating.  He leaves a widow and nine children.  Mr. Jahnke has been in the 
employee of the Pete Marquette as car repairer for many years.
