Althea Faye Jahnke, aged 62, of Ionia, MI passed away December 12, 2006. She 
was born April 2, 1944 in Evansville, IN, the daughter of Clifton and Joyce 
(Trupin) Hancock.  She married Earl Jahnke March 16, 1987.

She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years Earl Jahnke of Ionia; 
children Tammy and Jose Menchaca of Allendale, Timothy Porter of South 
Carolina, Lee Jones of California, Lynn and David Weenum of Lowell, Kevin 
Jahnke of Allendale, Victoria Bevel of Grand Rapids, and George Jones of 
Washington; sisters Area and Phil Brunner of Indiana and Loretta and Robert 
Tate of Indiana and 15 grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren.  Althea is 
preceded in death by one brother William Hancock.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Rev. Dottie Prins officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives Sunday, 3:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, 
memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
