The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, January 3, 2007
Earl Morris Jahnke, aged 64, of Ionia passed away January 1, 2007.  He was 
born February 15, 1942 in Klemme, Iowa the son of Awalt and Alzada (Mullin) 
Jahnke.  He married Althea Hancock March 16, 1987.  He worked as a master 
mechanic for Meijer for 35 years.  He loved wood working and especially making 
things for his family.

He is survived by his children; Lynn and David Weenum of Lowell, Kevin Jahnke 
of Allendale, Tammy and Jose Menchaca of Allendale, Timothy Porter of South 
Carolina, Lee Jones of California, Victoria Bevel of Grand Rapids, and George 
Jones of Washington; brother Leonard and Carol Jahnke of Iowa and 15 
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife 
Althea Jahnke in 2006. 

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Pastor Dottie Prinns officiating. The family will receive friends 
and relatives Friday 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M at the funeral home. Anyone wishing to 
make contributions to St. Jude’s Hospital.
